Malaysia Classes Canceled in Heat Wave


250 schools in Kuala Lumpur declared no classes , Malaysia experienced due to heat wave brought about by El Niño phenomenon in excess affecting food production and caused a shortage of water in other countries .

Police ordered the authorities to cancel classes at schools in Perlis and Pahang after climb to 37ºC ( 98.6ºF ) the temperature within 72 hours .

According to the education ministry , the decision is to protect the 100,000 students of such schools .

The scorching temperature in Malaysia has resulted in a decrease in production of vegetables caused price increases .

Even Paddy fields and rubber plantations were also affected with increasing temperature . Many Asian countries affected by El Niño , including Thailand and the Philippines .
